London, I heart you with all my love. I have been to London 3 times now and it had never had such an impact on me like last time..
Meike and I arrived Thursday night at Heathrow airport and we were so excited to be in London!! Well, you can't see it in that picture but we really were!

We stayed with our friend Ian who lives around the corner from the tube station "Edgware Road" where one of the bombs had exploded last year just around this time. So as it was the "anniversary" people had put flowers there.. Roast on me my first thought was: Hey, some gardener is advertising here.. (Maybe I shouldn't even say this here.. )

Our first cliché in London - a black taxi and a doubledecker bus!
bloody tourists.

Guess what the first thing was we did Friday morning? See our excited faces and have a guess.

We were trying to make an 'L' but we look more like losers as you can't see what we want to show..

Shopping! And even SALE WEEKEND!!

My own version of 'fish & chips' (with a tuna panini..)

Lovely Meike!

And then we met up with Alex who had just barely gotten back from his 6 month trip to the States. He is the best guide around London. Blimey!

Meike's blue phase.

BATMAN visits London.

Doors - I love doors! And they had all these cute little old and coloured doors!

and a shop only for dessert.. We just had a look not a taste.. Doesn't it look delicious??

....

My moms name is Leena..

Strolling around town.. Alex really is the best guide. He took us to see all the inside stuff and it was great! Oh yes and we met up with our friend Kristina who had flown in Friday morning.

Alex took us to 'Neals yard' a little backyard in SoHo. Very bright coloured houses. This is where Monty Python used to live.

While we were downtown I suddenly had an amazing smell in my nose. Very sweet but pure. And it came straight from The Tea House. I still remember it. Yummy.

Just some nice buildings..

Our friend Noelle told us about a ticket booth at Leicester Square where you can get cheap musical tickets for the same day so Friday night we went to see
'Guys and dolls' a musical. Supposedly with Patrick Swayze but "due to indisposition" he wasn't able to be there.. Whatever.. But it was great and a lot of fun. My first musical experience.. I didn't take any pictures. Why? Can't remember..
Saturday morning we headed out to Notting Hill in hope to find Hugh Grant there but "due to indisposition he wasn't able to make it". So here are some pictures of beautiful Notting Hill, Portobello market with the flee market on Saturday morning.
Notting Hill is famous for it's neat houses and the "trendy neighbourhood". It was so crowded that I got annoyed after a couple of hours but I still enjoyed myself.

Another inside tip.
BBC Proms, the World's Greatest Classical Music Festival in the Royal Albert Hall near Hyde Park for 5 pounds standing downstairs or lying on a blanket with food and drinks on the galery whilst listening to beautiful classical music and opera pieces. 2,5 hours went by so fast and I was quite relaxed afterwards. Great!

The sealing - looked like mushrooms.. But apparently there had been too much echo so they built these acoustic diffusors in 1969.

Picnic part 2.

They change the colours on the back light bulbs.

Sunday afternoon we went to the singles ward there. Here is Ian our host. Thanks again - you are great, Ian.

We left right after church back home. Yeah, how much poo is that!? I honestly didn't want to go home .. Meike might move to Zurich beginning last year and I am thinking of moving to London. Moving fever is high again.
