Low cost airlines - blessing or curse?

I fly with Ryanair a lot - also to Sweden. It is cheap but the airport is also always far away from the city.
This is what my return trip from Jönköping home to Frankfurt would have looked like in a perfect world:

11:38 - catch bus from cousins place to Jönköping train station
12:05 - catch bus from Jönköping train station to Gothenburg train station
15:15 - catch bus from Gothenburg train station to Gothenburg city airport
17:25 - catch flight from Gothenburg to Frankfurt Hahn
20:00 - catch bus from Frankfurt Hahn to Frankfurt central station
21:30 - arrive in Frankfurt train station

BUT in the reality my dad looked like this:

11:38 - saw bus leave from a short distance
11:38 - prayed that i would still catch my plane
11:39 - called cousin, asked for next bus- finding out it comes too late - calling cab
12:00 - cab finally came
12:07 - arrived at Jönköping train station (bus had left 2 minutes ago!)
12:10 - prayed that i would still catch my plane
12:10 - called cousin, checked out next train connection, called mom
12:2o - 13:25 - waited at train station and watched 24 on laptop
13:25 - 15:52 - took train from Jönköping to Gothenburg
13:25 - 15:52 - said short prayers that train arrives in time
16:00 - 16:30 - took cab in the middle of rush hour to airport and paid 40€, arrived 15 min before check-in closes at ryanair
16:30 - 16:45 checked in and spoke with ryanair employee:

employee: did you know that the flight is delayed?
I: no, but really, I am happy to be here in time so I dont mind
I: but, out of curiosity how long is it delayed?
employee: 2 hours 50 min.
I: speechless (and thinking: Heavenly Father you have a good sense of humour - thank you! :))
employee: I am serious
I: no way..

16:50 - 19:45 sat on the cold floor of airport, watched more 24 and read
21:50 - arrived in Frankfurt Hahn, my bag was the first one to arrive, rushed to the bus station
21:55 - sat in bus to Frankfurt train station
23:30 - arrived
23:50 - at home finally

What a day! But all in all everything went fine!

True Ryan experience for sure. Last time I flew with ryan from Göteborg to Stansted was in February. Actually i never really took off from Göteborg. U see the flight was canseled and i had to catch a night bus down to malmö in order to hop on the morning flight from there to london. A friend was waiting for me in Stanstead and had to spend tha night in a smal rental car. Dont really know who of us got the short end of the stick.. probably both all thanks to Ryan. But hey I'm not complaining, who else then ryan and his likes lets us cheap skates travel the continent like that.

True. I will still fly with ryanair. It is the first time this has happened to me..
Yours experience sounds worse than mine though!
