Ik hou van Nederlands

Alright - let the fun begin.

Thursday a new life began for me. No - no Hansel. Even better - HOLIDAY! I have been looking forward to this for about 5 weeks now and I cannot imagine how fast time went by. My next two weeks will be full of trainrides, busrides and flyrides (or something like that.)

Netherlands.
My trip started with a train ride to Amsterdam on Thursday and a day course on Friday from my speaking therapy. Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities. I am sure you can see why:

When you have a bike you are the king or queen of the streets in the Netherlands. I will even say that you are considered a bike-god. Like the indians have their holy cow - the dutch have the holy bikes.

a door for cb cliff.

Friday late afternoon I drove to Rotterdam to spend time with Daniel, Luit, Matteo, Meike & Sophia. Rotterdam is Europes largest harbour and more beautiuful at night with its bridges. This time no pictures. We had an evening full of lekker dinner from Daniel and fun from Matteo and Seinfeld. And I just took nice photos.

Luit asked me why I love the Netherlands. I love it because of the old houses, the language and the people. People are honest, funny, practical and gesellig - sociable. And Luit loves his first presidency - U2. (yes, and Sophia!)

Saturday morning we went to Den Haag (Zoetermeer) to visit the temple with Noelle and Pierre our "soon to be husband & wife". It was my first experience in another temple than the Frankfurt one and I really enjoyed it. This is another great issue of being a Latter Day Saint. Everywhere you go to you can find people easily. And if you have a temple in that place you feel home immediately.

After the temple our best tour guide Daniel took us to "keukenhof" - a big park with loads of flowers. Mostly tulips in every kind. Amazingly beautiful. My mother will be proud of me for taking so many pictures of flowers.

I pretty much felt like doing this all saturday long

Woman with doves. Was she maybe picassos muse?

some art.

and more flower fields.

these lips are made for kissing.. ah.. no-wrong.

more flowers. please don't make me tell you the names.

our happy couple!

more glass-art.

and flower fields.

here we go - these are all tulips!

for my american friends - may i introduce you to: "Amerika"

the happy group.

And happy sheep - not. I think they still don't like us Germans.

From now on I won't call myself 'dancing queen' anymore but rather 'gipsy queen'.

The end. For now. Tomorrow I am off to lovely and beautiful Sweden. Hurray!
