daddy's little girl

I just spoke to my brother for a short time while he was on the phone with Meike. I was a bit in a hurry and our conversation didn't last long. I gave the phone back to my flatmate and while I was going out my brother said that it amazes him how similar my dad and I are..

I guess a few years ago I wouldn't have been able to acknowledge the fact that my dad and I really are very much alike but it is true and I love it because my dad is a great man and I am proud to be so much alike him.. So this is why I am daddy's girl:

• we both don't like to talk on the phone for a long time
• we both are a bit impatient (although my dad gets more impatient the older he gets..) But still we manage to be very patient with other people or things we can't influence
  
• we both have a big heart
• we both like to have our homes cosy and nice
• we both are very good with computers, 'gadgets' and all kinds of electronic stuff.
  
• we both can't be without a computer (and the internet) for a long time (When I moved in the new appartment my parents came to visit me the other day. One of the first things my dad asked me: daughter, does your internet work already?)
• we both love to eat
• we both are very ambitious and successfull
  
• we both need security
• we both like to tease
• we both like to make other people laugh
• we both are quite organized (although when I am at home I am a lot less organized than at work - but i am not sloppy..)
  
• we both enjoy good music, film and books
• we both are quite strong minded
• we both can't sit still for a long time

The Helsinki Temple

The new Temple is ready! I am flying to Helsinki next Sunday to see it at the Open House and to spend a week with Meike and my family. I can't wait.

I think it is really, really gorgeous.
I get all warm and excited inside.

Yeah, I am not a runner but I have always wanted to be one.
Last week I saw my friend who had lost so much weight from running and I thought to myself that I will give it a try. My other thought was - what can I listen to!?

Well, tonight while I was checking my bookmarks I found a bookmark to 'Blueprint Magazine' and checked it out again. I love that magazine, I just wish it wouldn't be so expensive to ship to Germany..

Anyway, I saw this great playlist for running!!! Gonna start downloading now.

bff

I have always wondered what 'bff' means. We have a sausage called 'bifi' in Germany but I guess there is no relation to that.

I figured it means 'bestfriendsforever'. If this is the meaning then Meike and I are bff. How can't we be..? Today she made me this.
